About the Role:
Sparks Concrete LLC is looking for a driven and experienced Concrete Batch Plant Manager and Sales professional to join our team in Bunnell, FL. This is a unique dual-role opportunity where you'll oversee daily plant operations while also growing our customer base and driving revenue. Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the concrete batch plant, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety compliance
- Manage mix design, batching processes, and quality control to meet project specifications
- Supervise and coordinate plant staff, drivers, and production schedules
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and construction clients to drive sales
- Generate quotes, negotiate contracts, and close sales for ready-mix concrete orders
- Monitor inventory levels of aggregates, cement, and admixtures to ensure uninterrupted production
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations
- Track production metrics, costs, and sales performance to meet business goals
Requirements:
- Prior experience in concrete batch plant operations or ready-mix concrete industry required
- Proven sales experience, preferably in construction materials or building products
- Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs, QC testing, and batching systems
- Leadership experience managing plant personnel and production teams
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
- Ability to multitask between operational and sales responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
- Proficiency with basic computer systems for scheduling, invoicing, and reporting
